希望

佛陀說: "你們要具有戒、具有波羅提木叉; 在戒的學處之中修學: 修習戒律儀, 即使細小的過錯也不會忽視。

若希望受到同修喜愛、尊重、恭敬、敬愛的話;

希望得到衣服、食物、住處、醫藥用品;

希望能為供養衣服 、食物、住處、醫藥用品給自己的人帶來大果報、大利益;

希望有敬信的親屬在命終時想起自己而帶來大果報、大利益;

希望不被不滿所征服, 能克服所生起的不滿;

希望不被恐懼和驚慌所征服, 能克服所生起的恐懼和驚慌;

希望沒有困難地取得四襌的高質素的心, 親自體證襌定的樂;

希望斷除三結, 成為須陀洹, 不會墮落惡道, 肯定會得到覺悟;

希望斷除三結, 貪瞋癡稀薄, 成為斯陀含, 返回這個世間一次之後苦便會終結;

希望斷除五下分結, 在上界化生, 在那裡入涅槃, 不會從那世間回來;

希望具有無數的神變;

希望能清楚知道其他人、其他眾生的心;

希望能憶起過去無數生的事;

希望得到清淨及超於常人的天眼;

希望清除各種漏, 現世以特別知識來體證無漏、心解脫、慧解脫;

他要滿足戒行、修習止、不忽視襌定、具有觀、居住在靜室。

‘‘Sampannasīlā, bhikkhave, viharatha sampannapātimokkhā; pātimokkhasaṃvarasaṃvutā viharatha ācāragocarasampannā aṇumattesu vajjesu bhayadassāvino; samādāya sikkhatha sikkhāpadesu.
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘sabrahmacārīnaṃ piyo ca assaṃ manāpo ca garu ca bhāvanīyo cā’ti
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘lābhī assaṃ cīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsanagilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhārāna’nti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘yesāhaṃ cīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsana gilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhāraṃ paribhuñjāmi tesaṃ te kārā mahapphalā assu mahānisaṃsā’ti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘ye maṃ ñātī sālohitā petā kālaṅkatā pasannacittā anussaranti tesaṃ taṃ mahapphalaṃ assa mahānisaṃsa’nti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘aratiratisaho assaṃ, na ca maṃ arati saheyya, uppannaṃ aratiṃ abhibhuyya abhibhuyya vihareyya’nti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘bhayabheravasaho assaṃ, na ca maṃ bhayabheravaṃ saheyya, uppannaṃ bhayabheravaṃ abhibhuyya abhibhuyya vihareyya’nti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘catunnaṃ jhānānaṃ ābhicetasikānaṃ diṭṭhadhammasukhavihārānaṃ nikāmalābhī assaṃ akicchalābhī akasiralābhī’ti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘ye te santā vimokkhā atikkamma rūpe āruppā, te kāyena phusitvā vihareyya’nti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘tiṇṇaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā sotāpanno assaṃ avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo’ti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘tiṇṇaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā rāgadosamohānaṃ tanuttā sakadāgāmī assaṃ sakideva imaṃ lokaṃ āgantvā dukkhassantaṃ kareyya’nti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘pañcannaṃ orambhāgiyānaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā opapātiko assaṃ tattha parinibbāyī anāvattidhammo tasmā lokā’ti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘anekavihitaṃ iddhividhaṃ paccanubhaveyyaṃ,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘dibbāya sotadhātuyā visuddhāya atikkantamānusikāya ubho sadde suṇeyyaṃ – dibbe ca mānuse ca ye dūre santike cā’ti,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘parasattānaṃ parapuggalānaṃ cetasā ceto paricca pajāneyyaṃ,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘anekavihitaṃ pubbenivāsaṃ anussareyyaṃ, seyyathidaṃ ,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena satte passeyyaṃ cavamāne upapajjamāne hīne paṇīte suvaṇṇe dubbaṇṇe sugate duggate yathākammūpage satte pajāneyyaṃ,
‘‘Ākaṅkheyya ce, – ‘āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭhevadhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihareyya’nti,,

‘‘Sampannasīlā, bhikkhave, viharatha sampannapātimokkhā; pātimokkhasaṃvarasaṃvutā viharatha ācāragocarasampannā aṇumattesu vajjesu bhayadassāvino; samādāya sikkhatha sikkhāpadesū’’ti – iti yaṃ taṃ vuttaṃ idametaṃ paṭicca vutta’’nti.
